Testimonials

What are parents and students saying about Lab Rat Academy

“Transcribed from verbal interview: I am so grateful for Lab Rat Academy. Lab Rat Academy has taught me so much. It is probably one of the reasons I haven’t failed high school yet because I was so lost, I was not understanding these equations. I just wasn’t following. So, I walk into Lab Rat Academy once a month and I get so much information explained, I’m able to work with classmates to do calculations. Overall, it has improved my high school chemistry experience from being a solo-thing where I am confused, sitting lost, to something I can work out with a teacher and classmates. And also to be able to understand chemistry better in the world around me. And I’ve learned so many equations, so much new information, and I’ve felt a lot less stressed overall with chemistry ever since I’ve joined Lab Rat Academy. ”

“I loved my two years at Lab Rat Academy. I was there for 7th and 8th grade while I was enrolled at California Virtual Academy. Lab Rats helped me to stay ahead in school while also making learning science fun. I took anatomy, earth science, physical science, cell biology and circuits. My favorite labs were the anatomy labs because we dissected lots of animals, including snakes, pigeons, sharks, rats, frogs, stingrays, and pigs. We also dissected organs like the pig heart, cow eye, and sheep brain. I also loved doing these labs with my friends. I am now a freshman at a private school where my knowledge gained from Lab Rats has transferred to my biology class. I am doing very well in biology and am ahead in my class. I am able to help my classmates because I gained a lot of experience using microscopes in Lab Rats. Much of what I am learning in biology this year I learned in Lab Rat Academy. I am grateful for the opportunity I had to do so much hands-on science. Thank you, Ms. Becky! ”

“This was the perfect way for my daughter to participate in science labs and earn the science credit she needed within a supportive, small group setting. Becky Cook, the always smiling instructor, loves science! This enthusiasm rubs off on the students. I can highly recommend Lab Rat Academy.”
